So excited for my first post about wine for my Geography of Wine class at Virginia Tech! My mom has been a Wino for as long as I can remember. My family took trips to local wineries when I was younger, so it is no surprise that I love wine. Being a somewhat broke college student, my wine repertoire isn't very big, but that is exactly why I am so excited to take this class.
I like both red and white wines, but Sauvignon Blanc is definitely my favorite. I also enjoy a glass of Moscato here and there, but if I am drinking copious amounts of wine it is definitely too sweet for me. I usually dont pay more than ten dollars for a bottle of wine so I am looking forward to going to wine tastings to try more expensive wines and to figure out exactly what my favorite type of red wine is because red wine has recently grown on me.
As for the class goes, I am looking forward to being able to try new wines with my friends and also learn what types of wine go best with certain foods. I would hate to be at a business dinner and order the wrong type of wine with my food, but dont worry, I already know any type of pink wine is probably not a good idea.
Throughout the semester this is where I will document all of my wine related experiences!
